Training is an important phase of implementation. The training sub-committee has built a training plan that covers various methods of training. Although some direction will be provided in June and July on group viewing and self-directed viewing of ExLibris delivered Alma training, the bulk of hands on training on functional areas and workflows (including hands on training) will happen September to November 2019. Student staff will be trained. Our “go live” date together with the length of student staff employment will determine the order of who and when to train. Knowing that student staff positions cycle frequently, the training sub-committee will also ensure that there is ample documentation and staff trained to help with onboarding of new student staff.
